Appreciate all of the fine efforts by all involved.
A general question for all users of the ticker symbol link...........

Howdy Shosta,
Not that you don't know; but we may find the general and sometimes specific prospectus guidelines the only "psuedo" gauge of what a multi sector bond fund may be or become.

Howdy Investor,
Good catch.........should be the FRIFX. I'll blame the typo on the "elephant ears" and too much sugar.
No advisor. We pilot our own boat.
Thank you,

Howdy hank,
Well, cash is cash; of which I/we have not been accustomed to; and I don't intend to imply those with fairly large cash positions have cranial/rectal inversion. It is safe money from direct market risk, with the exception that the expen…
Hi Scott,
Not a cash fan here and have 15% of negative money rotting on the money tree. May move some to FSHBX (Fido short term bond) and FRIFX (Fido real estate income).

Howdy Burt,
I don't know that you will find a clear answer as to fund types or what is better for a taxable/tax deferred acct. There are many flavors of Real Estate funds. You may be able to Google "tax efficient" Real Estate funds and find someth…
Howdy Skipper,
Yes, Ed and GFB provided some very important thinking points.
You did not mention which "type" of advisor you chose, NOR what
your investment options/choices are and what type of fees will be

Do you feel comfortable…
Howdy Mindy,
I hope to have time this summer to post the funds holdings (as in the past); at the end of each month, with only the % change on a weekly basis.

Hi Skeeter,
Thank you for your time with your personal investment data and methods just below and in quotes. I'm a bit late in the reply; as I have been quite busy for a few weeks.

Hi MJG,
As always, thank you for your efforts.
I really should have my head already on the pillow; but will throw out a few comments.

Howdy hankster,
Yes....read some of your discussion about this with OJ.

Although the Funds Boat is more or less a stand alone subject; I also added the date to the subject line to set a particular po…
DPN,
A few more thoughts. Others have offered very thoughtful methods and actions you may choose to pursue.

DPN,

Howdy Accipiter,
Still getting used to the nuts and bolts at the new shop here.
The reply feature would be way to link the posts together.

Hi Accipiter,
Looks like the post will be little or no chatter box.............as I sure don't plan on posting two Funds Boat notes.
Thank you for your time with this.

Howdy,
Here is a Fidelity Work Horse fund:
Fid. Capital & Income, FAGIX
Listed as, and indeed a High Yield bond; that also holds 12-20% in equity holdings, depending on market conditions. This fund, not unlike 95% of mutual funds available is…
OJ.............almost forgot. I know you're thinking, but it was gold; and Catch was talking about silver coins. Well, yes; that was the starting point and as the gold/silver ratio started to change and the main fact that U of T wanted a more "compa…

Howdy Accipiter,
I have set all preferences, except the 2 "wall" notifies. I will find what comes about from this.
Thank you for your time and efforts.

I believe you have just about all the kick currently available with your bond mix. The exceptions may be some of the closed end funds that really throw around the bets. I suspect you'll be happy with your holdings for another year.

Hi rmt,
YES, but the limitation of $5K per year and foregoing one's part of a retirement plan would not be my personal preference. One may, if I recall the IRS info properly is that a 529 annual limit is $13,000K per year.
Your point, however; i…
