    Wasn't all it's billed to be in that clip. The pretty cars started rotting and falling apart at 20,000 miles (known in the industry as planned obsolescence). No steel-belted radials. Changing your own flat tire along the highway was a common occurrence. Roads were narrow, slow, and dangerous - the interstates little more than a gleam in Ike's eyes. Racism, Tricky Dick and Joseph Stalin. There's a combo. And Arthur Geodfry - a first class jerk by all accounts. Einstein was cool - but that new A-Bomb nasty.

    This smooth video is a tribute to our ability to sell anything - I guess.
