Starwood Signs Deal to Manage Three Hotels in Havana

edited March 2016 in Off-Topic
I'm game. When can we go down there?

HAVANA — Starwood signed a deal on Saturday to renovate and run three Cuban hotels, returning U.S. chains to the island more than 50 years after American hotels were taken over by Fidel Castro's socialist revolution.

Starwood (Sheraton Hotels) received an offer to be acquired by a Chinese company (a higher bid than the bid by Marriott). So the hotels will be managed by the Chinese.

I was hoping to use my Marriott points. Lost opportunity.
