Kinder Morgan Signals Possible Dividend Cut

FYI: (Click On Article Title At Top Of Google Search)
The energy-pipeline giant’s shares plummet, driving the yield up to 12%. But the stock is not a bargain.

  • Very tempting...

The convertible pfd is kinda tempting me. I don't think Kinder will cut the dividend but the promised dividend growth is probably not going to happen. If the conditions in the oil industry continue or get worse, a dividend cut may not be out of the question.
  • The company release inferred a cut is in play. The best case is most likely to be a freeze at the current dividend level. The stock would rocket.

Of course, I am finishing up a nice Chianti, so there's THAT to consider.
