Rio's Water Is So Filthy It Risks Ruining 2016 Summer Olympics

"An AP analysis of water quality revealed dangerously high levels of viruses and bacteria from human sewage in Olympic and Paralympic venues — results that alarmed international experts and dismayed competitors training in Rio, some of whom have already fallen ill with fevers, vomiting, and diarrhea."

Long Ecolab (ECL), Danaher (DHR) and looking for other water-related plays.

  • Such circumstances are really a sad comment about some of the humans on this ball of dirt moving through space.
    Thinking about the years of work and training for an Olympic event, and this is what is to be expected for those participating.

  • "Really, really bad." Yeah, for sure. It will be very interesting to see if the leadership of the games committees protects their site decision or the athletes. I know how I'd bet on that one...
