@MFO Members: This is what Carefree is referring too. Wally Weitz announced that he will step down as comanager of Weitz Value (WVALX) at year-end. He will remain as the firm's CIO and co-portfolio manager of Weitz Hickory (WEHIX) and Weitz Partners Value (WPVLX) and sole manager of Weitz Partners III Opportunity (WPOIX). The firm says that his stepping back from Weitz Value will allow him to focus on his other charges. Regards, Ted
