I just downloaded a sample copy of Steve McKee's newsletter and found it quite thorough. I like that it has easy to follow lists of funds in categories with ratings. He also provides lists of funds with ratings from several fund families such as Vanguard and T. Rowe Price. Has anyone used this newsletter successfully? I am considering it to help me follow and track various funds in my portfolio. He has several funds I already own on his lists. One of the issues I have is trying to decide when to switch out a no longer performing fund. I am hoping this kind of concise data all in one place will help me with making decisions. Does any one subscribe to any paid portfolio selection sites/newsletters to help them manage their portfolios? Does anyone use this one? Does it help you?
Kind regards to one and all for any advice

The way I use these is to make sure I have an ample representation of the asset of choice within my portfolio. For example, the Moose recently went form small caps to Europe and then back to small caps. I did nothing as I already had a good representation of both these asset classes within my portfolio.
At times, I'll also buy the out of favor assets as reported in the Invest With An Edge Weekly ... Currently, Emerging markets are out of favor and this is one of the areas I have been buying around the Edge, so to speak. The newsletter is linked below ...

fundmojo mutual fund selection
The Kiplinger article was really helpful and I plan to check out "The Moose."
I have seen the Fund Mojo before and will look it up again. I also sometimes check in to the Maxfunds site. I have used MFO for several years now and many of my current funds were bought after reading and following ideas from the site. I am completely in charge of my own retirement and I am always worried that I might miss something because I have pretty much rejected any outside help such as a financial advisor. What I like about McKee is his attention to risk. I have managed to do fairly well with my retirement planning on my own, but I can't really afford another major drawdown like I had in 2008.
