Gov. Pritzker Responds to Trump's National Guard Threat
Having lived through Newsom's tenure as SF mayor, then as governor, I've never been overly impressed either. Shallow, I think. I was never impressed with Kamala Harris, either. I always thought that she was pretty light-weight, brought up through the Northern California Democratic political machine, with no actual governing experience, and through no fault of hers, thrown onto the national stage at the last minute to sink or swim.
I like Pritzker, from what I've seen so far, and I've always liked Pete Buttigieg.
I watched the video of the entire news conference with all the speakers - governor, mayor, congress representatives, attorney general, and religious leaders. I found myself applauding at the computer screen. By the time it was over, I wanted to live in Chicago.
