Here's a statement of the obvious: The opinions expressed here are those of the participants, not those of the Mutual Fund Observer. We cannot vouch for the accuracy or appropriateness of any of it, though we do encourage civility and good humor.
"The U.S. Department of Justice said on Wednesday it was forming a strike force to assess recent claims made by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard about 'alleged weaponization of the U.S. intelligence community.'"
"U.S. President Donald Trump has leaped on comments from Gabbard on Friday in which she threatened to refer Obama administration officials to the Justice Department for prosecution over an intelligence assessment of Russian interference."
"Gabbard declassified documents and said the information she was releasing showed a 'treasonous conspiracy' in 2016 by top Obama officials to undermine Trump, claims that Democrats called false and politically motivated."
"An assessment by the U.S. intelligence community published in January 2017 concluded that Russia, using social media disinformation, hacking, and Russian bot farms, sought to damage Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and bolster Trump, who won the 2016 election."
It seems as though the Trump adminstration now wants to spread the blame around more broadly instead of blaming Biden for EVERY SINGLE THING that goes wrong in America. President Trump does not adhere to the principle that "The Buck Stops Here!" https://www.nps.gov/museum/exhibits/hstr/image/obj/buckstops.html In the end, this is just another inept, diversionary tactic to steer attention away from the Epstein files. It's doubtful this latest maneuver will placate Trump's MAGA contingent.
Or, to put it another way: Many rational individuals believe that Ms. Gabbard lacks the requisite Intelligence for the Director of National Intelligence position.

I have seen allegations that Gabbard is one of those incompetent DEI hires. Serious allegations!
for the Director of National Intelligence position.
