Trump Barely Defeats Challenge to His Tariff War in Senate

”Donald Trump barely repelled a challenge to his global tariff offensive in the Republican-controlled US Senate as the president’s trade policy stokes public fears of inflation and recession.”

    Yes - but it would have been a “shot across the bow” - a warning that they and their constituents are getting fed up with the circus act. Pretty hard for him to “talk” something like that away.
