Testa vehicles have been burned, and vandalized

edited April 1 in Off-Topic
Why are Dems not vocal about it?
Why don't you call for no violence and to arrest these criminals?
BTW, many times Dems own these vehicles.
My very liberal SIL bought a Tesla years ago and told me it's the best vehicle, but he refuses to be vocal about his party.

The Dems are going to lose more votes because you act based on emotions and no agenda.

Hard to get even the littlest excited when on Jan. 6, 2021 police officers, first responders and security personnel were mobbed, beaten, injured and killed by republicans led by an ex-potus. Damage caused by attackers exceeded $2.7 million, significantly more than a few tesla's.

Why didn't you and your ilk call for no violence and for the arrest of these criminals?

We all witnessed it so why were they pardoned?

BTW many, many believe in the rule of law. Just not you I guess.
  • Well stated Mark. The old maga double standard. I just spoke to a friend who is hesitant to participate in the April 5th national demonstration against the regime because he is afraid of violence from the militia groups which are active in his midwestern state.

Now, my SIL is afraid of his fellow Dems.
I told him, get used to it. All the Republicans I know were afraid to put stickers on their cars and/or signs in their yards. I know of several acts of vandalism in my very quiet neighborhood. None of the Dems property was touched.

Why talk about Jan 6? I always said it was terrible, but, as usual, Dems can't admit anything about their party. We also know that the Jan 6 incident could be avoided because the police knew about it and did nothing.
Dems were quiet about a huge property damage in 2020 in several cities which happened for months. The damage estimate was in the billions.

    We are talking about Tesla.

BTW, the Tesla thing happens daily in many private places, and it's much more than 2.7 million damage.

I don't condone vandalism or violence.
The OP suggests Democrats are to blame.
I'm not sure who actually committed these crimes but isn't it possible some
perpetrators were Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, or Socialists?

Many people are extremely displeased with Elon Musk's actions.
He wields enormous power yet is unelected and unaccountable.
DOGE has indiscriminately fired many government workers (often illegally).
DOGE gained administrative access to sensitive data within the Treasury Department
payment system (along with other systems) which raises significant information security concerns.

Then there is the thorny issue of potential conflicts of interest.
SpaceX and Starlink received over $3.3B in federal dollars and Musk's companies also face federal regulation.
According to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, "If Elon Musk comes across a conflict of interest with the contracts and the funding that DOGE is overseeing, then Elon will excuse himself from those contracts."
I personally don't find Ms. Leavitt's statement to be very reassuring.

None of this suggests that vandalism/violence is justified.
Boycotts and peaceful protests are two of the available legal options.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has labeled recent vandalism targeting Tesla dealerships as "domestic terrorism."
    This is quite a stretch.
Conversely, Jan. 6 rioters who actually committed acts of domestic terrorism were pardoned by the president!
