I need help with Yahoo Finance (no premium subscription) on my desktop.
I use Yahoo Finance App on my ipad and it works beautifully. But the watch list portfolio displays only about 30 holdings on my desktop Yahoo Finance when the portfolio has more than 100 holdings. What can i do for the desktop to work as well as the App on the iPad?
This is something that started recently at Yahoo Finance on PC (free). The full list is not displayed initially, but if I continue to scroll, more rows are added in groups. I don't see what's the point of this, but it could be that Yahoo Finance may soon transition of paginations 1,2, 3, ......
Just a warning. If you use Portf. Mgr, don't trust it. Check the ACTUAL numbers at your brokerage's website.
While people love to rag on M*, often it's not the one at fault. Tonight, upon checking the ACTUAL numbers at my brokerage's (Fidelity's) website, I'm finding that Fidelity is to blame.
For example, as of 11PM Fidelity shows FLPSX having an NAV of $40.31 (as of 3/28/25). M* matches this, showing an NAV of $40.31 (as of Saturday, 3/29/25).
What Browser do you use to access Yahoo Finance on your desktop?
On Chrome, it performed as you described.
Edit: On Brave, my default browser, I had to bring the Shield down for the site to work the same way it did on Chrome.
Is there a difference in security between Chrome and Shield down Brave?
(In the right margin of the web address window, there is a computer symbol. If I hover over the symbol, it says "Install Yahoo Finance." That is to install Yahoo Finance App which, based on the App on iPad, has a different user interface than the browser version. But more importantly, the Yahoo Finance App on my iPad does not show any Ads. I need the my windows desktop to be the most secure of my devices and I do not know if installing the App, rather than using Yahoo Finance in a browser, would make my desktop more or less secure. Any thoughts?)
@rforno, any guidance on the above you could provide would be appreciated.
In my first post in this thread, I had originally included that on many days Fidelity website does not update marks in time and I end up using my Schwab account to look up Fidelity funds' marks. I edited that part out to avoid coming across as too much information (or tainting @crash's post as a complaining session).
Your FLPSX ($40.21) and other Fidelity funds' marks were updated at Schwab prior to 7PM EST.
In any case, I did not read @crash's post as complaining or ragging on M*. I read it as him trying to be helpful so members do not assume they are looking at final marks for the day.
P.S.: I think people should feel free to complain about companies they do business with and let other members figure out the person posting. I certainly am trying to avoid posting negative information about businesses or other matters to avoid offending someone else because everyone has their favorites (for whatever reason) and I am getting too old trying to be helpful.

Speculation or did you check Fidelity's prices at Schwab prior to 7PM EST last night? When I looked at Schwab's price for FLPSX shortly after making my post, I saw a stale price.
For the record, I do not own FLPSX. I picked it simply because it is a well known Fidelity fund and the only funds I saw at M* that had stale prices at 11PM were Fidelity funds.

If you keep up with your quoting style, especially after I had requested you not to crop my sentences in quoting, I may have to stop posting in this forum altogether. I get that you like to use others for amusement / entertainment.
You are also the first person that has ever suggested that I was lying because you did not like my experience and facts I shared.
I accept that you and I post and exist for different reasons.
So as not to further offend, I am reproducing below two of your posts in toto. The only editing I've done is to highlight the two sections I have questions about.
With respect to the first (FLPSX pricing) I previously asked: "Speculation or did you check Fidelity's prices at Schwab prior to 7PM EST last night?" You chose to ignore the question, preferring instead to comment on my writing style.
With respect to the second highlighted segment (trying to avoid posting negative information about businesses), I think your second post below addresses it. Still, I invite clarification. If I've misunderstood what appears to be negative information posted about TRP, I apologize.

I was recently notified by USPS Informed Delivery that a letter from TRP will be delivered. When I did not receive the said letter, I contacted TRP which said in writing that no letter or document was sent from TRP and that USPS must be making up non-existent letters. Two days later my neighbor brought over the TRP letter.
I have marked electronic for all correspondence from TRP but they keep sending stuff, including Quarterly statements, by USPS.
If not for the free M* premium membership, I would move my holdings out of TRP.
I would trust USPS over TRP for service reliability.
01 April, '25: There's an approx. $10.00 difference, after daily updates, between Morningstar and Schwab, when I look at my portfolio. Can't explain it. But between the two, I'll trust Schwab for accuracy. ....EDIT TO ADD: Ah, I seem to have found the screw-up: Morningstar has not yet (9:34 p.m. ET) updated the share price for WCPNX. Still showing yesterday's number. Weitz does seem to habitually post their own numbers later than others. But after 9:30 p.m., Morningstar still has not updated. It's a fumble, plain and simple.
*Also: M* still shows WBALX in green, i.e., showing a profit on the day. In fact, it ended up "flat" on the day. I continue to use M* to check on my single stocks a couple of times through the day, when I'm too lazy to sign-in at Schwab. Morningstar is, I find, rather continually "behind" a real-time display, but at least I get an indication about whether my stuff is up or down or flat. A better source I've uncovered is Barron's. https://www.barrons.com/market-data/stocks/blx?mod=searchresults_companyquotes&mod=searchbar&search_keywords=blx&search_statement_type=suggested
I understood. What I reproduced above was from Schwab's page showing "wrong" (i.e. stale) data. The same numbers that M* showed at the time.
I've since figured out what is happening (with careful rereading of your post). I'll add more detail later, but the short answer is that you are seeing more current data "when [you] look at [your] portfolio."
That works if (a) you are a customer and (b) you happen to have the fund of interest in your portfolio. Since I don't have a portfolio at Schwab with FLPSX (typically costs $74.95 TF) or WCPNX, I can't see the numbers as you described. Rather, I looked at the fund pages that Schwab makes available to visitors. I included the Schwab URLs above.
Schwab's public (no login required) data and M*'s are generally in sync. Both stale by several hours. Check it out for yourself (in the next couple of hours or so). Schwab is still showing April 1 data (no April Fools joke). https://www.schwab.com/research/mutual-funds/quotes/summary/wcpnx

Try harder

Post 1: Post 2 (from a week ago): BTW, it is after 9PM EDT and Schwab has yet to update its own fund prices, let alone Fidelity's prices:
