Dump signs executive order establishing a U.S. Bitcoin reserve

President Donald Trump today signed an executive order creating a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and other digital currencies, an account whose value is currently worth billions of dollars.

The move doesn’t come without criticism, with the New York Times calling it an “audacious idea that has been widely criticized as a scheme to enrich crypto investors.” The critics state the order has been designed to increase the value of Bitcoin, a boon to investors who already hold significant amounts. There is also concern that the U.S. is playing with fire by putting faith in such a volatile asset.

    Crypto is subversive, unpatriotic, and ought to be criminalized. Think of the damage it does, every passing moment, to the value of the dollar--- which is LEGAL tender.

    Tired of writing to you.... are you going to let him scam the country some more? Really crypto... maybe his and Melania's... --- what a joke and congress says nothing. Crypto is only for laundering money and/or ways to funnel money to crooks via bribery etc... Yeah, revenue neutral, sure...and I got a bridge to sell you. Eventually our tax money will buy crypto to make the folks who already own crypto richer. Sheeez.... how can you not see it? PS: Sovereign Wealth Funds are for counties with a surplus... read that again slowly... or a slush fund for the convicted felon..

    You nailed it. I contacted my US Rep. (Ed Case, 1st District, Hawaii) who voted WITH the Repugnants to censure Al Green. I let his employee know over the phone how angry I am about THAT. I received a reply by email, which was a picture of a letter that is being sent by mail. In it, he justified his vote for the sake of decorum.

    Are you fucking kidding me? The Orange Pig is dismantling the country, and my Congressman is worried about decorum. Bag of slime. I've not voted for him since moving into District 1, and I certainly will not do so in the future.

    I posted this elsewhere. We need to be DISRUPTING what the Orange Sludge is doing! This is a Maori protest on the floor of the NZ Parliament in Wellington. Ya. Everyone who cares needs to be participating or supporting such things. The very ones who are supposed to be leading this country are trying to steal it and own it. They are restricting the Press and Free Speech. They are crippling essential government agencies and services. They are deliberately alienating allies. Repugnants in Congress are enabling it all. Public servants? Elected representatives? Their behavior shows they believe otherwise.
