  • Barrons article:

Pam Bondi, Trump’s New Attorney General Nominee, Owns Stock in Truth Social Parent DJT. What Next?

"According to Securities and Exchange Commission filings, Bondi owns106,250 shares of DJT, which went public in late March following a merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp., a blank check special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. At current prices, that stake is worth nearly $3.3 million. Bondi also owns 31,250 warrants to purchase DJT common stock."

He would have made a better Attorney General. Missed opportunity for the USA.
  • In 2005, the elder Kushner was sentenced to two years in prison as part of a plea deal after he pleaded guilty to 18 counts of tax evasion, witness tampering and making illegal campaign donations.

In 2019, while he was still governor, Christie called the Kushner case “one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes that I prosecuted ... and I was the U.S. attorney in New Jersey.” In 2020, Trump pardoned Charles Kushner, one of more than two dozen pardons the then-president issued after he lost his re-election bid.
  • Yeah, well, see- all that make him highly eligible for AG, right? He know a lot 'bout all that there law stuff.

For reference, check who the first and second Ambassadors to France were.
  • Umm, first was Benjamin Franklin, don't remember the second though.

Yes. As part of the plea, Kushner admitted to hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, a witness in a federal campaign finance investigation, and sending a videotape of the encounter to his sister.

    Lovely.
  • "hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law"

Isn't that one of the initiation rites for the Trump clan?
  • I wonder if Claudia Sheinbaum will stop a mass migration into Mexico.
  • Yea, Imagination on overdrive here, be cautious.

Now, if the US cloisters itself and ends up, essentially, with internal trade within the borders as the outside world decides to just build up ex-US, that might open a window for the New Mexican Century as, instead of moving inside the US for ex-world trade, enterprises set up operations inside Mexico, ex-US where they can continue to get parts for their builds. Then, immigration problems would be totally shift to Mexico as US citizens flood the borders seeking well paid jobs and send money back to the US to support their impoverished relatives.
  • Hi @Anna Your statement is 'Precious' !!! Yes, imagine.

Truth is stranger than fiction? I give you credit for some smart satire, there.
The USA has unquestionably sunk so very low, post-election. But the election only exposed what was under the surface. Lamentable.

I hosted a couple of friends for Th'giving. One is a SERIOUS Trumper. Why???? He's originally from Mexico. He makes trips back and forth. He described for me in detail what has happened to him repeatedly, driving through that country: there are random "tolls" (extortion) to be paid along the way to roaming gangs/cartels. They demanded 10,000 pesos from him. ($490.50.) He "negotiated" them down to 3,000.00 pesos: $147.20. ... This is what Mexico has become. No safety, no security. By 10:00 p.m., his town's streets were deserted. The police hide in their stations, or are already paid-off by the cartels/gangs.

My friend's logic in voting for the Orange Criminal? He said to me: "I heard not a word from Harris during the campaign about tightening the border, securing the border. But Trump was all mover that issue." So, his own crimes just were ignored. "If you don't have border security, you've got nothing." So he said to us, at the dinner table. (Even though there were more catch-and-return to Mexico instances under Biden than previously--- maybe ever.)

In another direction, a different Trumper I know has even got his head filled with conspiracy theories going back to LBJ, whom, he believes, knew about the plot to assassinate JFK, though he was not "in" on it. And that guy is a retired attorney!

This is where we are. This is how deeply in the muck and mire we are swimming, these days. I would never have believed it, but now it's reality. Excuse me while I go to vomit alone.
