Did your favorite team make the trip ? If it (struck out) , Which team are you pulling for ? I'm pulling for Big Blue, Last Big Ten team (a float) ! Enjoy the trip , Derf
I went to school at Gonzaga, so the choice is easy. It was 4 and a half years. It only SEEMED like 40. I'm glad I finished, though. When The Zags get knocked out--- and they always do--- I'll be cheering for 2) Oregon State, then 3) Oregon.
No I don’t recall. My check of the rules indicates both teams had 2 time outs to burn at the start of the overtime. UCLA fell behind early in the OT - so I suspect they used both. Happy Easter to you as well @Derf
SCORE: BAYLOR 86, GONZAGA 70. Well... Baylor came to play, and the Dawgs had lost their edge before the game even got going. The Baylor 3-shooters were almost perfect. GU turnovers hurt them badly. Seems to me also that the Baylor starters are just simply bigger, physically, too. ... Suggs was the savior in OT vs. UCLA, and all the energy associated with that miracle shot to win, left the Zags breathless and maybe overconfident. It started to look interesting again in the 2nd half when Gonzaga reduced the Baylor lead down to 9. Then Baylor simply turned on the afterburners and roared back. It was not quite a blow-out, but almost, if you ask me. 8 baskets, when you boil it down. Helluva season for BOTH teams. But there is no joy in Mudville at MY address, tonight.
Take me out to the ballgame. Maybe I'll start following the U-H teams. Here's Bill Murray, channeling Harry Caray, at a Ghostbusters Night in Toledo, with the Mud Hens. Turn DOWN your volume a bit. Does he still own the St. Paul Saints? Tough time with covid, for baseball.
