Agreed with the ER. But Frontier Market funds usually do charge a higher ER. I have been in the fund since inception. I like it for the fact it taps into the smaller countries in the world where we would not find any fund invested in it. That said, you need to have a very long time horizon to balance out the ups and downs. I am planning on keeping this for 10 years atleast. Time will tell
I have also owned this fund since near inception. It has outperformed and has been much less volatile than "traditional" emerging markets (WAFMX has gained 2.84%, whereas EM fund category has lost 6.34 in 3 month trailing period according to Morningstar). I have been very happy with it so far.
