Those published remarks from the Chief Justice a few days ago
Chief Justice John Roberts. Sometimes, we wake up with strange bedfellows. I saw a report featuring something he wrote. Maybe a newspaper op-ed or something, in which he asserted that too many Americans take democracy for granted, and that the teaching of Civics in school is not being done, and not being done enough, and not being done effectively. Hear, hear!
This from Andrew Chung at Reuters published Dec. 31, 2019
"U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts expressed concern on Tuesday about disinformation amplified by the internet and social media as he focused his year-end report on the weakening state of civics education in the United States."
