Thanks for posting the article. I enjoyed the read. There might be more to this than what was detailed in the article as many companies continue to reduce cost by continuing to right size. This, no doubts, propels profits. One of the things the article did not address is corporate revenue growth. If the economy is growing so should corporate revenues. And, guess what, they are not in many cases. With this, companies are, from my thinking, manufacturing their bottom lines not through revenue growth but by to continuing to right size to produce the bottom line results desired. Woe be to the worker.
