Dylan Ratigan's Meltdown on MSNBC During '11 Debt Debate. Still Fits Perfectly.

edited October 2013 in Off-Topic
I agree with absolutely everything he says in this rant. and while not a new clip, still fits WAY too perfectly - remarkably and sadly so - for what we are dealing with today.

Ted's right. ... Geez - The dynamics of this scene are awful. Carrying on like that in the presence of a couple young ladies who can't get a word in edgewise. Don't look good. And, if TV's about anything, it's about appearances.

Apparently Ratigan was instrumental in launching "Fast Money" and other major CNBC offerings. (The clip is actually from an MSNBC program.) CBS's 60-Minutes did a nice segment on him several months ago after he had retired from TV and moved from NY out to the west coast where he was running his own hydroponic farming operation. He felt this was better suited to his temperament and emotional needs than the high-stress TV business.

Linked a Wikepedia piece on Ratigan if anyone's interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dylan_Ratigan

If you can cut through the commercials and other c*** at CNBC they actually have one real journalist there in John Harwood, formerly of the WSJ. Why he hangs out with the rest of the gang that can't shoot straight I'll never know. (we catch him on PBS some Friday evenings.)

    Good link Scott. Thanks
