Eugene Fama Reiterates Opposition To Active Management, High Fees
I'm not sure whether it's intentional, but the reporter certainly makes Fama come across as slightly befuddled. He's 74 ("a father of four and a grandfather of ten ... an avid windsurfer and golfer, an opera buff, and a fading tennis player" according to his faculty bio) and not noticeably dotty. Reporting a series of "I don't understand why" statements without attaching a coherent argument is what makes him seem muddled to me. Hmmmm...
