Exclusive: T. Rowe bans some American Airlines employees from fund trading
TRP unnecessarily creating PR issues. Even in regular accounts, TRP and Vanguard have limits on Frequent Trading. Once you sell fund you cannot buy back for 60 days. My 401k plan has similar limits. In fact has stronger limits and it is made clear if I have deemed to have traded something, I might be banned from investing in any funds.
TRP probably instituted no limits in its 401ks. And is why we have a problem right now. Besides with 26 funds in 401k (WTF !!!), I can't see how these guys are having problems trading. I mean you can buy a similar fund, don't have to buy the exact TRP fund the newsletter suggests.
