A Revisted Thread On a Long/Short Fund in M* Large Blend Clothing
The problem here is we don't know the fund will do what we expect it to when the markets reverse. TVFRX is one fund I'm watching as well to see if it will do what it says. When everything is going up all managers look like geniuses.
Thanks for the reference. I'm going to keep MARVX on my watchlist. I would really like to see heavier manager investment in such funds. You want to tell me a good story about how you are managing risk by getting out of the market or shorting or hedging, I want you to have enough skin in the game, and you automatically seem a little more believable than otherwise.
