Great chart. Really illustrates advantage and importance of time scale: if you're young, the odds are excellent that you will recover from a significant drawdown. But the shorter your timespan the greater the risk of an unrecoverable drawdown. Looks as if we are now in a base-forming period for another long-term bull though, assuming the maturity of the US market does not cause a major change in market performance.
