Here Is Why Alcoa Just "Beat" Estimates

Seems the reason is that they beat the estimates is within the last couple of days estimated earnings have been continued to be reviesed downward since January form about 16 cents per share to, most recently, about 6 cents beating the estimate by a penny. The link below will explain this in more detail. This is why I put more importance to trainling earnings rather than forward estimates in this part of the business cycle.
