"China was responsible for 77 percent of the growth in global energy demand last year." Gawd! That shocked me. One single country. Over three-fourths of energy demand growth. Breathtaking.
Reply to @MaxBialystock: Hi Max, I've read that 40 percent of all energy use is directed at manufacturing. With China being the manufacturing hub of the world these days I can image a lot of this growth in demand is / was manufacturing based. They also have become buyers of automobiles...wonder how the auto industry is faring these days?
Reply to @bee: Ford is doing great business in China. Mullaly seems to be happy as I saw him on Bloomberg talking about Ford and their having sold one million autos in China already.
