Fed Chair February/March Testimony at House & Senate Committees?

What happened to them?

Powell is refusing so long as he is under direct threat from DOJ.

Neither House nor Senate committee made criminal referrals on Powell to DOJ. So, Powell's recusal from February/March testimony while under threat from DOJ makes sense. Of course, he may be compelled to do so, but if he isn't, then it's telling about DOJ interference.

  • Boom. And last I heard, Massie (R-KY) will not drop his objection to the Warsh confirmation until this junk is behind us. I can certainly understand his thinking.
