Booked flight for August.

Ya, it's early, but the price seemed rather good.
United or Delta seemed to be the only ones from HNL that thought people should be booking flights to Brussels from here. Jayzuz . (I just don't prefer American.) Neither Alaska nor Hawaiian could book the flight. "Oops. Try your search again." Stupid bot.

Customer "service" at United over the phone is akin to old, rotting, smelly limburger which has spent the past month wrapped in a sweaty gym sock. Spend a lotta time talking to a voice-prompt contraption from hell. If their aim is to chase away customers, it's working. I called the airline only because their monstrously sucked-up website timed us out TWICE.

But there's just not a lot of selections to choose from. So, Cheapo Air put us on United. (Shit.) The itinerary has us on United planes outbound, but some variety when we come inbound: Air Baltic, Lufthansa (Munich---Denver) and United. I paid $100.00 less than wifey because I'm in my golden years. After a couple of attempts on the phone to book the tix with United, I gave up and went with Cheapo Air. (One of the Filipino agents actually objected to my use of the term "stupid" in regards to the United website; I hung up on him.) It's not unusual to have to call 2 or 3 times in order to get someone at Cheapo Air who not only THINKS they can speak English, but actually can do it. (India, all of them, judging from the accents.) We got lucky, kinda. Only 2 tries were needed.

I'm certain that the fun in Europe will not feel like this past late evening, just trying to give these suck-holes my money. Honestly, if I can avoid United in the future, you better bet that I will do so. Dealing with that airline is like talking to the wall; but talking to an actual wall would be more productive.

"Hello, wall. How's the wife and kids?"
