Procedures and advantages, disadvantages: Schwab

Well, now. Yes, the MMkt. stash is insulated from Market ups and downs. And SWVXX is paying less, every time I look. It's now at 3.51%.

I'm getting over 7% with my Junk. Yes, the Junk funds are definitely IN the Market, but they rise and fall, after careful and lengthy observation---only a penny or two, either way, each day. And on a great many days, the share price stays just flat. Why should I settle for 3.51%? .... In order to recycle and redeploy what's in my MMkt. fund, I have to waste a day just to sell X amount, to make X amount available to me. So, X amount is useless to me until later in the evening of the first day. (Eastern Time.) Then, on the 2nd day, I can actually do what I wanted to do. ..... If I stash the $$$ into my junk funds instead, the extra-step procedure and 2-day-time-line is the same. (OEF, not ETF.) The added risk doesn't seem like much at all. I'm going to be growing the balance into the early Fall, this year. Even if I take X amount out of the Junk fund on a bad day, my monthly dividend would make up for it: 8 moths' worth of monthlies, through the end of August.

What could possibly go wrong????? ;)
