CNBCarticle points out Chinese activities in arctic including new sea shipping routes & polar BRI. China has also made significant strategic investments in Greenland. China has money to put its foot into many places including many global hot spots.
On the other hand, Russia has interests in arctic area in general, but no investments within in Greenland.
US is more heavily involved in Greenland already - it/NATO has Pituffik Space Base (formerly, Thule Air Base).
