What's with the lack of jabber on this timely topic? In recent years, selling in May (or in some cases March & April) appeared to work - assuming everyone got back in at the right time. The fact that historically markets haven't fared very well in post-Pres election years would seem to add more urgency to the topic. Yet - here we sit with markets at record highs at end of April. Just speculation on my part, but maybe the alternatives to equities (primarily cash & bonds) look even scarier than the equity markets?

As you are aware, this year form reading my post, I have been selling equities at a measured pace since the first part of the year as they made their seasonal advance. I'll need to sell another three percent to reach my target of 40% equity. I am going to wait till I see equities begin a breakdown before I pull the remaing three percent out. I'll position the proceeds into short term fixed.
So, I think it is fair to say ... I have been making a seasonal adjustment since the first of the year.
