Tesla Robotaxi

Apparently the awesome innovation that will keep Tesla at the top of the tech world is simply a standard Tesla with added software. This is what took 10 years to release?

How does this not come across as another delay and bait/switch, in an attempt to right the listing ship, is beyond me. Damage control.

When do we get that $20,000 robot, that actually ends up costing $50,000, to mow our lawns and babysit. Can't wait.

What BS, he just makes stuff up. Last I read it'll be deployed June 12th. Now because they "want to be very careful" add another 10 days. Yet, people still buy the stock. Sorry, it's a failing car company that's way, way, way overvalued.

Tesla's "full self-driving" software was ranked 8th (by Consumer Reports) against other automakers, just a few months ago.

Will people actually get into a car with a Tesla logo these days? Maybe Musk will declare he is now a huge Democrat, in another failed effort to get attention, power and adulation?
  • That is a really bad sign! In the meantime, Tesla stock is losing its market share in multiple fronts. Tesla self driving feature will cost more $$ in order to activate that feature. BYD is offering it’s self driving capability for free. In Europe, Tesla’s sale went negative while EV sale increased by over 15%. In 2025, Tesla sale fell to second place to that of BYD for the first time. In US, Tesla sale plummeted after he turned political. Recent earning report tells all, regardless how he tried to spin the narrative.

By the way, Cathy Wood tells clients she would buy Tesla big time. That is another pump and dump tactics of hers.

A big problem is that TSLA is a component of many mutual funds, whether one wants it or not. If not for that, I suspect it would be doing much worse.

Waymo is far ahead in autonomous taxis, and not carrying Musk's political baggage.

    I agree.

The world largest car manufacturer, Toyota, is jumping in to work with Waymo on self driving technology. With this heavy financial backing, this will propel Waymo far ahead of Tesla.

Charlie Munger advised Warren Buffet to invest in a small battery manufacturer, BYD, in 2008. The total gain is 789% in 2023 dollars. Having cash in stress time, for a lack of better words, is good!

We have sizable investment in BRKB and Japan. These days there are better investment opportunities outside of US. Who say politics and investment are not alive and strong?
