SS switches-up communications

I never have had a reason to communicate with SS after my monthlies started. There was a hair-raising period beforehand, when they claimed I worked in non-covered jobs and must take reduced benefits. That was corrected, after I had to personally go to meet a Supervisor with a couple of years of tax returns in hand. But for months and months before that, the website was showing obsolete data about a disability claim which my fabulous lawyer's office allowed to die and simply expire. No harm done, then. And since my application for benefits was delayed by another year, that added a tiny bit to what I had coming to me, as well.

But now, the GRIFT continues in full bloom:

  • Looking at social-media noise, this story by WIRED (that SSA will use X/Twitter for its communications) has been denied by SSA, but WIRED stands by its reporting. Stay tuned.
