MFO was mentioned in an Oct. 18 The Intelligent Investor column titled
"You're Not Paranoid. The Market Is Out To Get You."
"Because you may never realize how much a group is influencing your decisions, it’s vital to protect yourself
before you join the crowd. Seek out patient, like-minded investors at online communities such as bogleheads.org, HumbleDollar.com, MutualFundObserver.com or ValueInvestorsClub.com."
"Look for posts that:
steer clear of hot takes on the latest headlines;
avoid anger, boasting and mockery;
and reveal their sources by linking to long-term data and peer-reviewed research,
rather than just making assertions without evidence."
"Instead of investing based on the whims of the crowd, follow policies and procedures."

.......Just went to ValueInvestorClub.com and nothing about the sign-up process is working. I attempted it three times. Harumph. Better things to do with my time, like stay in bed and complain. I guess they simply do not need me. Lots of other things to occupy my time, then.... Ah, I just tricked it into working properly. But it's less than useful. I'll continue with MFO.
Yes. I'd include a link but WSJ is paywalled.
I was looking at another investment forum last evening. Boasting about how much some claim to have made had gotten so bad they’d implemented a new rule that you could only do so on weekends when the board is not as active.
E-Gads!
Yes, I can confirm it is by Zweig / Article dated 10/18/24 WSJ
A newly revised version comes out Oct. 22. (Graham’s original text remains intact;
I’ve written commentaries that put each chapter in context for today’s investors.) "
