Bond Traders Buckle Up for ‘No Landing’ After Jobs Surprise

edited October 6 in Other Investing
”The ‘no landing’ scenario – a situation where the US economy keeps growing, inflation reignites and the Federal Reserve has little room to cut interest rates – had largely disappeared as a bond-market talking point in recent months. It only took a blowout payrolls report to revive it.“

  • Thanks for that. I'll be continuing to reduce bond risk, slowly d-c-a-ing into my core-plus fund: WCPNX. Long term holding. My junk continues to be un-volatile and dividend-productive.

Good observation but most articles that discuss bonds mean treasuries or high rated bonds.
    Last week BND,DODIX lost 1.2%.
But, HY munis (ORNAX,MMHAX) were flat last week.
Bank loans (EIFAX) and ICMUX also made money last week.
