I would like to learn about forum members experience submitting CFPB complaints, including whether one needs to create a password protected account with CFPB to lodge a complaint.
I have tried to file complaints with the SEC, and it required specific description of the situation, amount of money lost, remedy asked for (in monetary compensation or otherwise).
I filed an SEC complaint a couple of years ago when I sold a mutual fund at one NAV stated by Schwab and then days later the fund company lowered the price I recieved
