Reminder to Fact Check - - AP / Others race to dispel false Vance couch story

edited August 10 in Off-Topic
Increasing use of social media to generate fake news about candidates was addressed on PBS’s Washington Week With Atlantic Friday August 9. Moderator Jeffrey Goldberg and the show’s several panelists all condemned the story, stressing that it isn’t true (at least far as we know). The story illustrates how vulgar mean and prevalent some campaign related fake-news has gotten. Goldberg declined to detail any specifics of the story - in a nod to decency, He advised viewers wanting more to perform a web search.
