ORK? WTF. Transaction, TRP. (Got an answer.)

A couple of dividends showed up on 31 May. One was the domestic Postal REIT. PSTL. As instructed, TRP reinvested the dividend to buy more shares. Smooth and transparent.

On the NHYDY dividend, I'm left to worry and guess at what they did. NHYDY = Norsk Hydro ADR. First thing I see is the amount of the dividend. $145.56. NEXT, I see the FIVE PERCENT fee that was taken from that amount: $7.28. (foreign company.) Then I looked to confirm that the remainder of $138.28 was reinvested. But only $101.89 was reinvested. Where did these doinks hide or lose or steal the rest of it? $36.39 is just plain missing.

This licks pus, I tell you.

    .........And so, I checked at the end of the day. The missing amount SEEMS to have shown up in my Sweep Account. It's not EXACT, though. Why? How? For what? For what reason? Without any notation or record of a transaction to that effect? The people who run these websites need to re-learn how to think and communicate the way HUMANS do.

    Fidelity will automatically reinvest all distribution (dividend and capital gain), whereas Vanguard requires the owners to specify how to handle the distribution. I make sure all my distribution are reinvested and not to the sweep account. You may want to review how TRP handles these distribution with your funds. If in doubt, call their representatives.

    TRP does not "clear" stuff, themselves. They depend on Pershing or Pershing Square, whatever it's called. So THEY provide the info. There is still a small tax to be withheld from this foreign security, NHYDY. It won't amount to much. It's supposed to shake out, and the pending stuff will be concluded next week.

    .....So if something is PENDING, I can understand that. But I can't read minds. Feces.
