New York, to its credit, is trying to place some common sense control over the new availability of guns granted by the formerly esteemed Supreme Court. And, predictably, Republicans and the gun lobby are objecting.

“Just imagine you’re on a crowded subway and you bang into somebody inadvertently. Tempers flare and the person that you bumped into happens to be carrying a concealed weapon,” she said.

I guess this shoots holes in the crazed myth that more guns in the hands of more people would reduce or prevent deaths from mass shootings. Another finding, it was apparently the first time the shooter had ever fired the weapon.
