“As tensions escalate across the United States and Europe over the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, Moscow's space chief has made an eyebrow-raising threat against Washington. In a series of tweets, Dmitry Rogozin has said he could stop maintaining the orbit of the International Space Station (ISS), and allow it to crash into the U.S. … Four NASA astronauts, two Russian cosmonauts and one European astronaut are currently living and working on board the orbiting outpost.”Maybe
“a chill in the air” up there?
ArticleTo lend some clarity: The ISS is in a low earth orbit and requires periodic “boosts” from an attached Soyuz space capsule to stay aloft. Probably a few times a year.
Elon Musk thinks he can maintain the orbit with his space ship. Maybe. But there are a lot of technical issues, including - particular docking port configuration and its location on the ISS, fuel capacity of capsule used, etc. Probably not a
slam-dunk.

For those who don't know or are too young to have lived this period in the U.S.: A term in a song, "Let the Sunshine In" by the Firth Dimension, in 1969, from the album "The Age of Aquarius".
In astrology, the term Age of Aquarius refers to a period of time (associated with the zodiac sign Aquarius) that is believed to bring an increase in harmony in the world.
Take care of yourself.

@Anna- that's been my theory for quite a while now. An experiment that didn't wok out all that well.
