A way to reset Notifications

I have been accumulating notifications even though I have pretty much read all the posts on this site. I have currently 98 notifications.

I think there should be a way to reset these notification counters for it to be useful.

Because notification number has kept increasing, I stopped paying attention to it. Thus, there were a couple that I should have payed attention (like a couple of site emails etc.) So, this feature needs fixing.

A button on the Profile page resetting notifications would be one solution.
