For crying out loud. This shouldn’t be legal without good cause (hospitals, banks, police and military applications) Cameras everywhere nowadays. Any A Hole can single out a target? Track them everywhere?
Apparently, they've used it on all pictures amassing a bloody huge database. Seems they decided that this wasn't a good idea considering the bent of various and sundry governments around the world. Too dangerous. Plus they can hear the hounds baying.
They may be discontinuing public use of the technology until the heat lowers a bit but does anyone actually believe that their accumulated data will be destroyed? Sure.
