Bloomberg reports: Broadway Reopening Tonight

edited September 2021 in Off-Topic
The long-running foot-stomping jazz musical Chicago is among those reopening tonight. Always a great show. Reasonable prices. Small intimate theater.

But how would you like to be an usher charged with making sure everyone is wearing a face mask all through the performance? (Alcohol consumption is common at Broadway shows.)

Normally, they have a hard time enforcing the common rule that cellphones be turned off. I can’t imagine the nightmare that could develop for patrons and employees alike with face masks mandated..

  • Well, COVID is still with us. Many indoor events including restaurants require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results. Still too many selfish people remained unvaccinated. We were hoping with vaccination that we would return to more normal life, but it has not. It has been awhile that we attend culture events or visiting museums. We like to attend concerts and other at nearby colleges. This fall, some universities are returning to in-person instruction. Still many procedures are in place for COVID. Be patient and the country will return to normal soon.
