I just posted a rather pessimistic comment over in the IOFIX thread concerning the predictability of swans. Unlike that, this situation WAS correctly and competently predicted by our nations intelligence services, well in advance of the arrival. The President of the United States, by his own evaluation the greatest and smartest that we have ever had, chose to totally disbelieve that information based on his incredibly great gut instinct, possibly the best such instinct ever in the history of the US.
Not to worry, though. Guided by his preferred intelligence sources at Fox News, I'm confident that he will lead us out of the swamp almost any time now.
