FYI: A few years ago, the investment world seemed to be barreling toward an uncertain future when robo-advisors threaten to make human advisors obsolete and the growth of passive investing promises to upend any form of active management. A new partnership between Betterment and Dimensional Fund Advisors suggests that neither is true.
As of Oct. 15, advisors who have been vetted by Dimensional—or to use its own parlance, are part of its “community”—can invest in DFA mutual funds and model portfolios via the Betterment for Advisors platform.
