PCI (PIMCO Dynamic Credit Income), a new closed end fund from PIMCO
Would appreciate any insights on how this fund differs from PDI, other than the different management teams. Does one fund have more flexibility in terms of types of bonds or the ability to short credit? I am curious is there is a CEF similar to FLSIX, which has generated a good performance record while adopting a long-short credit strategy.
Incidentally, the launch of this fund may explain the recent selling in PDI -- assets potentially being freed up to invest in PCI. A nice opportunity to invest, if so inclined, in PDI at a discount to NAV.
