NYT - Wells Fargo Closed Their Accounts, but the Fees Continued to Mount

Small potatoes this time, and likely not unique to WF.

Zombie accounts (closed but still processing transactions) with checks cashed after closing (incurring processing fees), continuing autopayments with overdraft fees (if the balance isnot exactly zero, bank system may keep account active), etc.

  • Makes me laugh. I'd tell WF to blow it out their ass, with their accumulating fees. This is what happens when MACHINES are in charge, not people. At least, not people who own a conscience. But that rules out the ones who take orders from The Machine at WF.
