Polen Global Searches The World To Beat The Indexes: (PGIRX)

FYI: As the battle between passive and active investing heats up, it becomes harder for investors to find actively managed mutual funds worth investing in.

Passive investing lets investors capture the return of an index with a minimal annual fee. But if you find an actively managed fund that not only beats its own benchmark, but also the S&P 500 Index on a consistent basis, that would be a fund to buy.

The Polen Global Growth Fund (PGIIX) hits both requirements. Three of the last four years its returns not only beat its benchmark index, the MSCI ACWI, but the S&P 500 as well. In fact, while both indexes posted negative returns in 2018, the Polen Fund was positive.
