Bought new positions in schwab health care funds, bought/traded for more Vanguard prime cap core and Vanguard star fund today... All long term holdings (after two bonds called early)... Trying add more stocks may be over wt in bonds
@Derf: Although it appears that the Fed. is going to lower rates, I not sure they will. Therefore I'm playing it close to the vest by staying short-term. Regards, Ted
Currently, Old_Skeet's CD ladder consist of a six, a twelve and an eighteen month CD with a combined yield of about 2.65%. In comparison, my three money market mutual funds offer a combined yield of about 2.50%. With this, I may close out a money market fund position and buy another CD position. After all, the CD, that I would buy, is covered by "FDIC" insurance while the money market mutual funds are not.
