@Ted: Please don't be so hard on JohnN. He's trying very hard to qualify as your replacement when you decide to quit linking, and I think that he has a good chance of making it.
What a joke! Manafort gets 47 months while another man is looking at 36 - 72 months for stealing $100 worth of quarters from a residential laundry room ...
@PopTart: IMHO the richest and most corrupted personnel in USA are lawyers and high authoritative persons in congressmen/house of representatives/presidents [past present and future].
@JohnN: It's evident that you have an impressive grasp of the obvious. This is different from every other country and government on earth exactly HOW??
I still want to market Hair Extinguisher . . . give it as a gift to all your friends and relatives with their hair on fire over something or other.
Manafort will very likely die in jail. The Southern District will give him a longer sentence, Donald will pardon him and then the State of NY will convict him of all the same stuff using established evidence and the Donald cannot pardon him from a state crime.
Another curious thing happening is that while the Mueller probe is winding up; it was tightly constrained and limited. Congress, particularly the House, is NOT constrained. Rest assured campers, Donald and his entire family are going to be investigated and hounded and sued and charged until Baron is an old man and perhaps longer.
And the great thing boys and girls, is this is all live on your bloody smartphone.

@JohnN. Thanks for calling this topic to the board’s attention. FWIW I agree with @Ted and will not be changing my investment strategy based on Mr. Manafort’s fortunes. You might even argue that prosecution and justice meted-out pertaining to white collar criminals makes the USA an even better place to invest.

The irony here is that while you felt compelled to pay your fair share of taxes, Mr. Manafort was convicted of evading millions of dollars in taxes he owed the government.
Thx... @JohnN - Do you think the 2 prominent individuals pictured in the photo just “happened” to be on the same flight last summer? Sheer coincidence? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6000645/Don-Jr-Robert-Mueller-pictured-just-yards-away-D-C-airport.html

As for market strategy? No change. Still cautious in a conservative allocation with extra cash for buying ops.
