FYI: Americans are feeling pretty optimistic about their personal finances, according to a new Gallup poll: 69% of respondents in a nationally representative sample said they expected to be financially better off a year from now.
To put that in context, that level of optimism has been eclipsed “only once in 114 polls going back to 1977,” according to Gallup—in 1998, when 71% of Americans expected to be better off by the following year.
